01

Honestly, why do I need this? (Plain speak version)

If you read only one answer, read this. It’s what we’d tell you in thirty seconds.

We use our chats for a lot. The reality is too much. We’ve accepted the friction of scheduling, document saving and sharing, and follow-ups via text, but it’s flat. CleanSlate simplifies without over-solving. It saves time, keeps you organized, and will save you money. Try it for 75 days, for free, and if we haven’t convinced you, go back to what you were doing.

02

What is CleanSlate?

CleanSlate turns your cleaning calendar into invoices, automatically. Connect a property once and every checkout becomes a priced line item, ready to submit and get paid. Short-term rentals or your own home, it replaces the group chat, the spreadsheet, and the “how much do I owe?” texts.

03

Does it work for regular home cleanings too?

Yes! We built it for people like us, juggling a thousand other things while trying to keep our own home cleanings straight. Did we actually book it? Was she paid? CleanSlate pulls the guesswork and back-and-forth out of the group chat and into the place where it belongs.

04

How do I set it up?

Two ways, both quick.

Short-term rental — paste the property’s iCal link from Airbnb, VRBO, or Booking.com. From then on we watch it for you, with new bookings, changes, and cancellations flowing in on their own.

Your home — follow a few short steps and you’re scheduling with your cleaner.

05

I already handle this over text and a spreadsheet. Is switching a hassle?

No! It’s about as easy as it gets. Running an Airbnb or short-term rental? Paste your iCal link. Cleaning your own home? Just pick the dates you want it cleaned. Either way you’re running, with no more chat threads doing the scheduling, the follow-up, and moonlighting as your invoice filing system.

06

Who can use it?

Anyone. Your cleaning team, your family, your roommates, or just you, whoever’s scheduling most of the cleaning for your homes or properties. As a cleaner, CleanSlate builds your invoices, tracks what’s owed, and keeps records. When you’re ready, invite your host or homeowner with one link to approve and pay in the app. Only the person who sets up the account pays, and whoever you invite is free.

Pricing & trial.

07

How much does it cost, and is it per property?

CleanSlate is free for 75 days. The pitch: use it for two and a half months, fall in love, and keep it for the price of a coffee a month. After that it’s one flat price for as many properties as you want. Founding members lock in $7.50/month ($89.99/year) and keep that rate as long as they stay a member. One place or ten, same price. (That’s about 25¢ a day.)

08

Why is it so cheap?

We wanted something genuinely affordable, and 25¢ a day checks the box. We don’t charge per property and we don’t take a cut of the cleaner’s pay. One flat subscription, monthly or annual, runs the whole thing. No per-clean fee, no marketplace cut. We’d rather have a lot of happy members at a fair price.

The fine print: want fast, one-click payments through Stripe? There’s a 0.75% transaction fee. Otherwise use whatever you like: Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, and more.

09

How long is the free trial?

Seventy-five days, no credit card. The longest trial in the category, on purpose: long enough to run real billing cycles before you decide. Cancel any time, your history stays.

Getting paid & your books.

10

How do I actually get paid?

Submit the invoice; your host or homeowner approves in a tap and pays in the app, or right from the email. Paid another way, like Venmo or a check? Record it in a tap. Either way the invoice closes and locks, with a real, numbered PDF you can actually find.

11

Does it work with QuickBooks and other accounting tools?

Yes! It works with the tools you already use. Push your invoices straight to QuickBooks Online or Xero, matched to the right customer. Prefer Wave, FreshBooks, or your own spreadsheet? Download a clean CSV. Your accountant gets real records, not a screenshot.

12

I’m a host or homeowner with several properties. Does that get expensive?

Nope! One flat price covers every property, each with its own calendar, rate, and history, all in one dashboard. Approve, dispute, or pay in a tap, and invite a crew or co-host free.

13

What languages does CleanSlate support?

Four: English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French. The whole app, not a bolted-on translation, and anyone can switch any time. It’s built for the people doing the cleaning, not only the people booking.

14

Is my data secure?

Yes! Two-factor authentication, encryption in transit and at rest, and strict isolation so no account ever sees another’s. Your data stays yours. For payments we lean on Stripe, one of the most trusted and secure platforms in the industry.
